The Smarties Cake

I made this Chocolate Cake covered in Smarties for a family dinner where we were celebrating 4 different birthdays.  It was a fun, easy way to dress up a basic chocolate cake.

German Chocolate Cake

Both the Chocolate butter cream and the German Chocolate frosting are made from scratch.

The American Hero Cake

I made this cake for a good family friend that had just returned from Iraq.  It is 3 layers high and covered butter cream and fondant.  The symbol on top is the patch from his military brigade.  I colored the cake batter so that when you cut into it there was a surprise of Red, White and Blue cake.

Tinker Bell Cake

I made this Tinker Bell cake for a little girl's 3rd birthday.  This is a 2 tiered chocolate cake with butter cream frosting covered in fondant.  The bottom cake is 8 in and the top cake is 6 in.  I also made the (9x13) 1/4 sheet cake to go with it.  The Tinker Bell on top is a candle, but the toad stools are made out of fondant.

Clone Trooper Helmet Cake

This cake was made for my son's 9th birthday.  It is 2 8in round cakes stacked on top of each other with a cake baked in the soccer ball pan on top.  Buttercream frosting and fondant covered.  The cake is about 9in tall and 6in across.  It took 9 hours to complete.
